Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not yet seen.
Eduful however put faith in his son that one day he would grow and be a man and make his father’s heart glad. More so, this faith of his will have a bearing on how he would raise the boy, the kind of environment he would be raised. The kind of person(s) he would be associated with as a boy, and the kind of school he would attend.
As the saying goes: train up a child in the way he should go and when he grows up he will never depart from it either to the right or to the left.
Until now the boy is yet to be given a name. Has the naming ceremony not been held yet? For it is now exactly five months and counting but there is no name for these boy child! Eduful is gradually recovering from grieve but has not yet gotten over his wife’s death- IN FACT he would never get over her.
Neighbors, family members, friends and all who cared for his welfare came and inquired of his son’s name, but non was presented as for non has been given- the boy is yet to be named. Although it is the responsibility of a parent to name the child, but in this instance, since it is taking far too long to be done, a well meaning neighbor, came up with the name Papa Kofi. Hence Papa Kofi became the boy’s name. Papa Kofi was given a name at exactly six months after his birth which implies that for a period of half a year, he had no name but finally at long last he was given Papa Kofi.
